NOMINATION PERIOD: September 7th, 2025 through December 7th, 2025

Here are some examples of winning nominations-

Our 2024 Deserving Rides Vehicle winner “Mike worked a fulltime job and came home and helped in caring for his mom and dad. This whole time driving older cars that were easier to keep care for and keep running. He searched and searched for a 2nd vehicle, and to purchase that vehicle, only to have the motor explode and literally start on fire in the school parking lot while leaving school one day. He took a car his brother offered him that had been sitting for a couple of years and has been driving the 2003 manual, Hyundai Elantra since, right now it is having heating issues. During all of this Mike has supported me in my many volunteer positions with our church and with veterans, mainly with Stars and Stripes Honor Flight out of Milwaukee. In the summer of 2021, our oldest graduated and we had saved up for me to travel with him to Zimbabwe, Africa where he was to spend 5 months helping out at Karanda Hospital, and ministry in the desert. But I had to be admitted to the hospital and was unable to go with him. Mike took over fulltime care for his parents and he cared for me while I healed from sepsis, and had 2 surgeries that summer, so he cared for me as well! In November of 2021 we lost his mom. We found ourselves in need for a vehicle and after much searching Mike found us a CRV. In December of 2023 we lost his dad. Thanks to the company he is currently working for, they made a way for him to work remotely for the end of his dad’s life, to help me with his care. In August the 2008 CRV with only 11,000 miles on it, was deemed unsafe and unrepairable by Honda after a recall inspection. He has been looking to find us another vehicle, but at this time he hasn’t been able to find a vehicle that doesn’t need a ton of work or that fits in our budget. Mike is also serving on our church deacon board this coming year.”

Our 2022 Deserving Rides Vehicle winner “Beth is someone who would and has given the shirt off her back to help others countless times. Growing up, she worked hard to help run her family’s farm and businesses and she was heavily involved in her high school, even becoming the Milk Day Queen. After high school, she chose to serve her community and every community throughout the states by joining the US Navy. She married in ‘91, eventually having three children. In that time and throughout the next 30 years, Beth has worked hard and gotten involved however and wherever she could. A very hands on parent, she volunteered and helped with school clubs and activities, church events, community gatherings, and so much more. Finding a passion for students, she even returned to take on a full-time roll at Bigfoot High School as a special education paraprofessional and an IT technician. She is currently finishing a degree in IT and Networking so that she can lean more into her roll at the school. She also helps to run the Chief’s closet (for community members and students in need) in what spare time she has. On top of her career, volunteering, and education, she is a very involved and loving wife, mother, and “gigi.” She loses sleep, gives up her vehicle, and makes countless other sacrifices in order to stay involved and ensure her family knows how much she values and cherished them. She truly wants to see everyone around her succeed, even at her own expense.”
